  1. After that hour, the wee ones might nod off and miss all of the gory, sexy, profanity-laced goodness. Makes perfect sense.

Know what *really* doesn’t make any sense? A Three Stooges re-make.

      • It means (loosely speaking, of course) that won’t get you any love from the Beijing muckety mucks when you wanna start adopting cuties. so watch out…(my little brother…)

        do wholeheartedly agree about stooges!!

  2. I am always stunned when people bring their small children to R movies. But they do it all the time. I confronted one woman who brought her child to see I-can’t-remember-what, and as the child was whimpering with fear from the film, disturbing everyone in the theater, her response to me was, “Babysitters are expensive! And she’s fine!”

I was so aghast I couldn’t put words to it. And all the manager could say was, “She’s the parent or guardian, so I can’t prevent them from coming in.”

At least a posted policy of no kids under 6 after 6 pm gives them a blanket reason to keep the kids out of there.

    • I knew that the guardian rule applied, it just seems wrong coming and going–my kids and I talk a lot about how the levels for pg 13 and r are worse than they were even five years ago.
babysitters are expensive! at least bring a blanket and let the kid hide under it

we went to see a movie I would recommend to everyone but I was also struck by how not kid friendly the kid movie previews were–eight percent were vampire/horror movie knockoffs. the rules have changed
